Block House is one of Germany's best-known steakhouse chains; the Rostock location occupies a prime spot on Steinstraße, directly opposite the Kaufhof department store. Opened in 1993, the restaurant underwent a complete modernization in 2003. A terrace extends in front of the floor-to-ceiling windows; it features a permanent arcade-style roof and is heated on cooler evenings.
